The Romanian Cultural Institute
was established in 2003 to promote the international exchange of literature and culture. 


The Romanian Cultural Institute
includes a network of 17 institutes in 16 countries. The institutes provide information on Romanian literature, language and civilization. The head office in Bucharest coordinates the activities of the institutes.


The Romanian Cultural Institute
is largely funded by subventions from the state budget, self-generated income, and by contributions from sponsors, patrons and partners.
